The first 12 pictures were taken during the survey which was conducted by Lloyds Maritime Inspections
The bottom wasn't bad at all there were no sign of osmosis, even after we scaled off all the gel coat. Some minor repairs had been done and we have to redo those repairs. It is typically damage from anchoring too close to reefs or so.
As you can see, the interior wasn't too fresh after many charter seasons. The wood on the lower parts of all the showers was rotten, most probably due to malfunctioning shower bilge pumps.
The walls and ceiling padding was also worn and damaged in some areas. It had come loose from the glue and the repair was simply done by fitting screws with large washers.
There is an interior from a Vauquiez 48, I just want to show you the light type of woodwork we will fit on doors and list work in Sea-Otter. This is white ash. We prefer a light interior instead of the usual teak. If one is sitting in a cellar most of the time then it can at least be a nice and light atmosphere in the boat.
If you move the marker back over the PICTURE navigation button a few more pop-out navigation buttons will be displayed, including “External & Internal layout”, “Cowes to Malta” photos and “Malta photos”. you can also find these as text blocks at the bottom of this page and they are also “clickable”.
